Migration services
The Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan regulates the departure and arrival of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the arrival and departure of foreigners and stateless persons to and from the Republic of Azerbaijan, their temporary stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan, granting them temporary and permanent residence permits, their registration, the rights and duties of participants in the migration process, regulates relations in the field of labor migration, as well as state control of migration and the fight against illegal migration.
The migration legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan is based on the principles of respect for human and civil rights and freedoms, rule of law, equality and justice before the law, compliance of the migration legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan with universally recognized international legal norms, application of innovative methods in the regulation of migration processes and ensuring transparency.
In the Republic of Azerbaijan, the granting of refugee status, loss of refugee status, deprivation of refugee status, as well as documents issued to persons who have received refugee status and the basis of the legal status of those persons are regulated by the relevant law.
The relevant executive power body determines the special rules for coming to and leaving the Republic of Azerbaijan during mobilization.
