Representation in courts

The activity of the courts of the Republic of Azerbaijan is focused only on the implementation of justice and judicial control in the cases and in the manner determined by the legislation.

The Law on Courts and Judges is aimed at creating an independent judicial power established in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to ensure the implementation of justice in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The courts of the Republic of Azerbaijan established by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan operate in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it is prohibited to apply unspecified legal methods and to establish emergency courts, as well as courts of foreign states or in a manner not provided for by this law, in order to change the powers of courts.

While administering justice, the courts protect the human and civil rights and freedoms stipulated in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the rights and legal interests of all enterprises, departments and organizations, political parties, public associations, and other legal entities, regardless of the form of ownership, from all kinds of intentions and legal violations. They perform other tasks stipulated in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and this law.

Cases are heard in courts at first instance, appeal and cassation instances.

  • Study of case materials (first instance court) and submit a claim to the court;
  • The presence of a lawyer in the court of first instance;
  • Participation of the lawyer in Appeal court;
  • Participation of a lawyer in Supreme court;
  • Drawing up an appeal against a court decision (decision, ruling) on ​​a case
  • Participation in executive proceedings;
